I just picked up a 110 from Walmart a few days ago. First big pocket knife I owned as a kid (more than 30 years ago) and I have one again! Every bit as nice as I remembered.
Can anyone suggest a place to get a leather sheath for it? Sheeple friendly, please. :D
 
Buck 110 Leather Sheaths are almost always listed on ebay, or you can contact the Buck factory to order one; 800-326-2825 (Ext 180) and ask for Pete.

I bought a 110 in '71. I could not get a good edge on it. Used it as a utility knife and eventually gave it away. I have missed it ever since.

I bough one for myself for Christmas - 27.00 at Wally World. The best 27.00 I ever spent. Buck has new different edge that it did in the 70's and I also have a Spydie Sharpmaker. The knife rocks.

To answer your question, don't give up on the nylon sheath. It is rigged for horizontal carry and I think overall it is far more Sheeple friendly than the leather one. I often carry mine in the back pouch of a Nite Ize Pok It (who dreams up these names) along with a channel lock pliers, a mag light, a honing rid, a small metal file and a SAK. This makes it just another tool and very Sheeple friendly.

Now if I can just find a way to make my Gerber pocket ax Sheeple friendly!:D
 
Never heard of a Nite Ize Pok It (you are right, crazy name!), do you have a link to it?

Check Amazon for the leather sheath. Last I checked they were under $10.
 
Wally world near me doesn't sell the 110 :( I was there today checking out their knives. They sell slippie bucks and smaller lock backs.

I went there today. No Buck 110's there either. The sporting goods department was one isle of fishing and one isle of golf. No quality knives and no firearms at this location. Couldn't even find Swiss Army Knives.

I usually don't go to WalMart but I stopped in while my wife was at the doctors office across the street.
 
If you guys are near a Gander Mountain store, check them out. Once in a while I`ve seen them there on sale for $19.95 with leather sheath. Everytime I do, I pick one up.
