Kershaw's were my first american made modern locking folders. I got Zing, Skyline, Jyd II composite, Cycklone, Groove, Needs Work, Leek and Lahar and the NRG. I sold them when I needed money for new glasses and then I kinda have been without Kershaw's. Its been over a year now. I got few days ago Skyline again. I forgot how much Value Kershaw puts on their knives. With the price I paid some of my Benchmades I could get get 2 or 3 USA made Kershaw's. (Prices here are pretty outrageous).

Well, Skyline kinda set old flame. Kershaw's are considerably cheaper than knives I've bought recently but I don't feel they are any inferior. Excellent fit and finish, great grounds on bevels (my $30 Skyline had superior out of box bevels vs. my $225 BM 930 Kulgera which I got after it was announced discontinued and was last one in this country) and kershaw's have smooth action.

To my Buy list has:

RAM
JYD II Composite (I want this again)
OD-1
ZT-0200

This suits me as I don't have nearly as much money to spend on knives that I had earlier... damn economical depression. It also kinda sucks that retailer here now plays safe and will not order any Assist Opening knives (its ok, I don't like 'em generally but some models are tempting) but I kinda wanted 0350 or 030x... I guess I just have to "settle" for 055x instead when I get tax refund in Christmas.

Anyway, thanks for the Kershaw crew for making wonderful knives in great price. Helps people who cannot spend that much on knives to get alot knife for the money they spend...

I am still afraid that my Skyline bumps out Spyderco Sage 1 or Benchmade BM 930 Kulgera out of rotation.

I believe the OP summed up Kershaw very nicely: Quality knives for really affordable prices. And in my opinion, A great selection to choose from.

Love the kershaw line up. I hope you can work the speed bump into your rotation. My favorite kershaw! :D

Thanks for that post and some great input that's right on the money.

I have a nice collection of custom folders but usually there's a Kershaw in my pocket:thumbup:

that is one of the few A/O's I want but... I need to get them from USA. That's bit troubelsome. I actually need someone to get it for me and remove the A/O spring and tape it next to the knife. So incase customs opens and tests knife it appears as manual. A/O's and switch blades are not exactly illegals here due law change which allowed to sell switchblades and owning them. Problem is that A/O's can easily stoped by custom's and the problem of importing A/O's since 4 months ago has increased for some reason... Even there is no law change made that I know...
