I have been making straight razors for the past few years and could not break away because of existing orders. I have decided to slip in a few knives in between those commitments. I got together with Bill Coffey and we are heading down to the knife show in southern CA in about three weeks. I have a few already made and 9 more on my bench. I still have to engrave what I can between now and then and I also will make some sheaths as well. My leather work is a tad behind some of the stuff I have seen here on this forum, but I'm promising myself to get better at it.
The first pic is a flat-grind hunter that I made a while back and the other is a mini that I actually started on many years ago. I got tired of looking at it in my supplies drawer and finished it up. I only did it as a lark for my friend, Jim Whitehead - a super miniature knife-maker.
The hunter has stabilized buckeye burl for a handle and the mini uses dinosaur tooth. The engraving on both is mine.
