I've had a turbulent last couple of weeks and haven't done much chopping, so I figured today would be a good day to clear my head and do what I like best.

CGFBM, stripped 1311, KZ II, TGLB (for batoning), NMFBM, NMFSH (in Kanik leather ;)) and the Rattle Hawk

I usually only choose three, but I really feel like having at it today, make up for lost time or whatever, so I grabbed all my choppers.

More to come :)

Very nice! I hope you have a blast! It's always nice to have some "alone" time  I just noticed your signature "We find the defendant, quilty" . That is from Let's go to prison, right? Hilarious movie :)

Looks like you still need a sheath for your newest member of the group, I can't guess if you will be going leather or kydex?

Nice collection you got there and good to hear your getting out to use them

who made the 1/2 open kydex for the 1311?
That's slick.
Does the snap work well for keeping the blade in without getting caught on brush and whatnot?

Looks like you're ready to do some serious chopping! Have fun out there

Lexi you should start pressing kydex sheaths at the shop, you have all of the knives for the mold!

Yeah, I was going to include the whole part about "trial by jury" being the scariest words in the English language, but I wanted to keep the politics down ;)

Leather, some very special leather, stay tuned :D I need to add something to my sig line about kydex+satin being a crime...

David Brown made it, it's an awesome fit and it's red/black, my family kilt colors . Not quite sure about the snap getting caught, I haven't worn it out hiking yet. The handle fits snug in the kydex, you actually don't even need to snap it closed to have it stay put, I'll get some pictures in the morning in the light.

How did the chopping go?

Went well. I didn't do much yesterday, still adjusting to these new ant-seizure pills. They're making me tired and feel funny, but no more seizures or "auras" so it's better that way...

Today I gathered up the same lot in my special knife roll (my sweatshirt lol) and really had at it. I gotta say, I love love love love love my one-handers, but I can't wait for the Butaniku. If you guys need a test monkey, I'm good at not blabbing ;) and I finally feel comfortable enough in my rehabilitation to use two-handers.

I wish I had a marketable skill that related to our passion, help pay for, if not pay entirely for, my habit :)

Who made the rattle hawk sheath?

Garth

Another Buy Brown. Again, excellent fit with or without snapping it closed and I really like the boiler gasket material strap he uses (he told me he makes the straps in-house).

I just thought about something, an exposed spine kydex, similar to the 1311 BB sheath, only made for the Butaniku, would be ideal for back carry... Dave, Dave!!!
