Who's sportin' a basic 7? I've been fiending for a basic7 even since you people infected me with your infilust. Saw one for sale a month ago, but I was too slow, ever since then Ive turned into a zombie troll, pissing my days away loitering in the exchange. I've had a WTB threads going for a long time, but they hardly even get any views...

Oh mister tambourine man, play a song for me!

You are wasting your time sketchbag. They are BASICally garbage. Tin foil is tougher than M-INFI. I suggest all of you guys send them to me ASAP for proper incineration. We don't want any of that inferior INFI out on the market:D:p

I've never seen a "Flying" Basic before, Dwayne. I expect that one will be sent as well as we don't want that crappy gene in the pool.:D;)

The 7 is the only one I don't have. The 5 is the hands-down sharpest Busse I've ever gotten. Smoothcoat. Could shave hair off a bald-man.

I'd love a 7 but I don't like the price I'd have to pay right now. Sadly, I could have had 2 of them a year ago with ease. For some reason, they went thru a doldrum and there were 2 of them just hanging there. "Nah. What do I need that thing for???" DUMMY!

Gotta love them Basics.......OINK! :D

I'm still looking for a couple myself. ;)

Good luck in your search sketchbag. :)

anyone got a picture of a sjtac along side a basic 7?

When I had a complete set, I could never bring myself to keep the basic 3 or 7 over the 5 and 9, the 5 and 9 just seemed so much better at their given tasks.

but, I'd be curious to see what the size is like now that I've found so much appreciation for the sjtac

I have been a long time advocate and carrier of the B9 (Basic 9 for those unaware of what i am speaking of).

Wait... that's not my line. But I *do* own and use a Basic 9.

Obviously, you haven't used that one. Please send it to me for a proper beating.

Recently got two B7s, one each: smooth and crinkle coat. Now to lurk, waiting to pounce on a couple of B5s, hopefully same coatings. Pete

Oh what an tease!

so guys, whats "better", smooth or crinkle coated? Symmetrical or asymmetrical?

Whats the profile of the asymmetrical? flat bevel on the left side (when holding it w/ the edge down) at x? degrees and a convex on the right side of the blade?

I'm guessing (and keep in mind this is just a guess) that the asymmetrical would cut thin slices and whittle better. Any discernible difference in chopping?
