My vote is for the custom shop WTH. It's a great all around size and has a lot of belly. Also it's classy as hell...

Well, if you can't do that with your CGFBM, then it's time to send it on its way!

Kitchen is the most controlled environment you can use a knife in, if you can't use it in the kitchen then there's no point in keeping a tool that you can't use.

TGBG is great at kitchen duty. No need to even cut through the apple or cabage. Once the edge is in a bit the blade shape simply breaks the object in half :-p
Knocking off the edge shoulders fixed that, mostly.

A boning knife would have its uses, but for dicing and mincing veg, I would choose a knife with a lower heel.
Below is a boning knife for reference:

Below is a Butchers knife:

And my choice would be something like this, a Chef's knife (sometimes still called a Butchers knife).:

The low heel would be the largest help for board work.
There is also a Cleaver, so take a look for the Busse Baby Boom, Muk or WTH!

The bottom one is a weiner dog I think. There was a bird dog that was similar but thinner profile. They were SYKCO offerings.

The other 3 are old school Busse fillet knives in D2. Very real. :)

I think the Bunker Buster LE would work well for kitchen duty, it looks to have a low heel. I guess we'll see when it arrives. Hopefully in time for grillin' season

The Elmax steak knives are a great option, and they are available in several lengths, and appear from time to time on the exchange. They are amazing slicers, personally its my favorite knife. I own a bird dog and appreciate the knife, but this knife spends its life riding in my game vest, chasing pheasants in the fall.

Here is what I would love. Mountainmandu a little more in shape of chef knife but at least 2.5" blade width INFI 1/8" or 5/32" flat grind, Satin.
