I went on a pack trip for work a couple weeks ago and got to ride into some really neat country. My work bought some property back in the early 90's that doesn't have any motorized access. The orginal owners had some old cabins, and we maintain them so we have a nice place to stay when we are in there working.

Here is the trusty BK 17 keeping an eye on our cabins.

The fat paint horse is mine.

Horse packing food is sooo much better than freeze dried backpacking food. Thick ribeyes with Spade L seasoning over charcoal, doesn't get much better.

I saw a lot of these tracks on the trails, they are NOT made by barefoot hippie hikers. Another of many reasons why the cabins are so much nicer than a tent.

Damn, looks like an awesome place. Steaks look good too. Thanks for sharing.

That look's like a cool place to explore, and the steaks are looking tasty! I'm going back country camping next week in Algonquin Park, I'll make sure I take lot's of pics for the forum :)

Awesome man!
I miss working outdoors sometimes.
Thanks for the pics.
I've gotta go get something to eat. Those ribeyes are making me hungry.

Beautiful scenery! I know it's cooler there than here in down south- can't wait til the first day of October...

Great pictures, thanks for sharing.
If you don't mind me asking, what is it that you do for a living?

I am a wildlife biologist for a state fish and game agency. It is a great job, paydays are a little disapointing sometimes, but other than that you can't beat it.

Looks like fun, it's been a long time since I got to be up in the mountains of Utah.

I aint so sure about the horse-ridin part though LOL, I prefer a 4-wheeler to hosses really. But sometimes it's nice to ''saddle up''.

That 17 looks awfully black still! :D

keep the pics coming, I enjoyed them
