Background about Mr. Mojo?

I just aquired a Mr. Mojo and was wondering if someone can give me a little history of this model. I know they are being discontinued, but that's about it. For example, my knife doesn't appear to have as much belly to the blade as some of the other pics I've seen. Is this common?

The only other Busse that I ever owned was a Natural Outlaw that I traded just before getting the Mojo. Now, is it just me or does the Mojo feel faster, lighter, and better balanced than the NO? It seems that the Mojo is less nose heavy. Could it be that there is just less material with the recurved blade? It's too bad that I didn't have the chance to compare the two side by side.

Also, a braided D-Guard just didn't seem appropriate for the NO, but I was hoping to make one for the Mojo. I was a little disappointed to find that the sheath covers the front hole. Any tips on ways to get around that?

Thanks!

Thanks for the way back link Chip! I never would have guessed that there were holes in the tang. That plus the thinner blade does explain a lot. Now I have to do some research on the difference between zero edge and assymetrical.

Anybody else with history?

The zero edge is a finer, dual convex edge. The assymetrical is convex on one side, flat on the other, and is a bit thicker (and more durable) than the zero.

The Mojo certainly is amazing. It just might be Nitro equipped ;) ;) :D

Andrew,

Does a zero edge look off center like an asymetrical edge? The right side of the blade is definately convex, but the left side is ground so small that it's hard to tell if it's convex. If I had to take a guess, it looks flat to me.

Is this normal? or does this one just have an asymetrical edge? And if so, how common are these?

You have the asymetrical edge; the one that comes on most Busse knives, unless you specify otherwise.
