It's getting that time of year again. Seems a lot of us are getting out into the woods.

I stumbled onto this the other day at the supermarket (Kroger - of all places)

It's probably avail. all over, but I hadn't seen one before. Just thought I'd pass it along.
For $12 didn't seem like a bad thing.

It's very light (VERY) and does not need ice or those blue freezer packs. Which is nice for weight and also no spilage. Wet backpack sucks.

It has gel packs in the walls. Throw the whole thing in the freezer for a few hours
and it's stay cold. Plus cold contents help.

8% beer :D 16 oz. cans

No really, I'm just being more efficient ... Stonger beer in a bigger container. (LOL)

Will let you know how it works.

Thanks for the heads up. We don't have kroger here, but I'm sure I can find them somewhere. I'll have to try that steel reserve also.

Thanks for the heads up on that cooler, gonna have to track one down.I've gotten my groove on with 211s a few times.Once you gag the first one down it gets easier.

Cooler good.

Beer not so good.

Ya'll were right. That 211 is some tough stuff. My first time with it. Does the job right quick, but ... warm, 211, backwash ain't pretty. (LOL)
Drink 'em quick if ya' got 'em.

Anyway - cooler was great. Hardly took up any room. Minimal weight. If you want to keep stuff cold, and you're pressed for weight, it'll do the trick.
See how it does as the summer heats up here. But, I'll be using it again definately. :D

steel reserve has to be COLD, to the point of frosty for me to drink that stuff

it helps too if I've been working outside and I'm really thirsty too

it's better if you pour about 6 ounces of Jack into the beer first :)

I bought some steel reserve today, and went to put one in the freezer only to find that they were 6.0% by volume. The cans look the same, so why the weak sauce?
