Leaving tomorrow, I will try to post a gear picture or two from me and my hiking partner. She has matching gear!
It has been in the 80's at night and around 100 Degrees F in the day. Monsoon season too, did I mention I like a little suffering?

Gear pics may get a lot of people scratching thier heads. I am a gear nut that doesn't take much!

Usually a 4-6 month wait but I told them I was Bear....the Dog, and I got one a couple days later.

Must be joking right? I might try that one myself Anyway I wouldn't think there would be much of a waiting list in August. Bad month for heat stroke. Strange you both have identical gear.

Man, I am so jealous....my wife and I did that for 7 days a few years ago and we can't wait to get out there again. Just about this time of year, too. You should have a great time.

Actually Backcountry passes are less wait time! It is the Phantom Ranch and Indian Gardens camp grounds in the gorge that are the real problems. Backcountry passes are issued on, day of sometimes. If you want to day hike it, you don't need no stinkin passes! But if you do tell them you are Bear they will probobly ban you!
