Recently I went into Fred Perrin's page, and among the articles he wrote about 'backpedal grip'

Can anyone share what this means .. or Master Perrin himself can enlighten this 'balisonger'?

Anagarika, I have no idea what monsieur Perrin means, but I would like to know too.
First I thought he meant a backhand grip, but it isn't that.
As Fred Perrin is french, it can be difficult to translate some of the words he commonly uses in french to discribe grips.

Okay, I'm curious! Where's Chuck or Clay?! They might know.

I asked the webmaster of the site, JM Moreau.
It seems to be a joke or rather a litt. style... the backpedal grip would not be a grip but a concept : "run !!!" (escape, avoid the fight, ...).

I've re-read the text since he told me that, and I did not understand everything... soory it's the only info I managed to get.

If that's the case, I reckon my favorite grip would be with two hands on my Les Baer Premier II!!!

Dawkind,

my humble apology. I don't get it .. cultural gaps maybe? ;0
</font>
Les Baer is a maker of custom firearms and my Premier II is a hand built .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol built on John Brownings 1911 patent or otherwise known as the Government Model .45. I hope this helps, Dudley

Fred Perrin is refering to getting away from someone who might be trying to do you harm, rather than standing and fighting. My favorite moto is "if I can't get away I'll have no mercy on those who chase me".

Dawkind,

that's it .. Gov. Model .45 customized ..

I agree with trying to getaway without a fight.

But nevertheless, can anyone ask Mr. Perrin his confirmation
