I found my first production BM Crooked River after seeing that new variation, to give ot some pocket time. Ive never really carried it because it always had some decent side to side play that couldnt be eliminated by pivot adj. I decided to give Benchmade a chance to fix it. Came back with worse blade play. Typical Benchmade. So i decided to troubleshoot. Backspacer measured out from rear: .164. Front of it was .172. Blade and washers spec’d at .168. The backspacer was machined incorreclty, causing the issue.

So, who makes a custom backspacer for a Crooked River? I havent found one, yet (and BM wont ship out parts)….?

Option 1 - yes do that, but figure out which side is angled and just address the high spot so it can be parallel
Option 2 - annoying - send back to BM with your measurements and requesting a new back spacer.
Option 3 - Google for 3rd-party replacement, someone might do one in titanium or something special
Option 4 - check services available forum for a custom maker.
Option 5 - make one yourself out of g10 or metal, not too complicated except will need a tap to thread the holes,
