I hate weekends when I can't get out and do what I want. Sometimes family commitments and house hold chores hold you back, so you have to take advantage of your time.

Man, troop, this is an AWESOME post. Backyard skills are some of the best, its keeps you in shape, and allows for some experimentation, and adaptation. Campfire bannock is some of the best, and for those that haven't tried it, you really should.

I had a trip out and about a few years ago, and one of the guys along for the ride was a new face for me. He whipped up some "stick bread" as he called it, basically, wrapped a wilderness dough around a stick and roasted it. Best stuff on earth. He used wild strawberries and blueberries to sweeten the mix.

Great thread brother, great thread.

Good lookin' sheath too.

Thanks Moose. Got to play when you can. Modern life keeps me down sometime :)

Hell yeah, I heard that, brother. I'm lucky if I can get out to my backyard sometimes. :(. Honestly.

We do what we can, when we can, but if ya love the skills, ya play with them when you can. I got busted carving figure four traps at my hotel in Cali once, on a business trip. Cops didn't know what the hell to think. :D
