I'd like to buy a premade metal fire pit. Can anybody recommend me a fire pit in the 50$ or under range? Somewhat large. And possibly something I can order off the internet?

I'd suggest you reconsider and buy a chiminea instead.
Fire pits are nice and everyone can see the fire all around it, but the smoke goes everywhere depending on the wind.
People will be constantly moving to new positions.
A chiminea directs the smoke straight up so nobody gets eyefuls of it.
Just my $.02

Old truck tire rims work fine and you can usually pick them up at a junkyard for scrap price.

Didn't know what it was called but I believed it was a chiminea that my friend has after a quick google search of it. I have to side with you on this it is a nice thing to have, we have spent a good portion of a couple years at a buddies house BBQing and hanging out outside around that thing to keep warm while just relaxing when we had free time. Quite handy when you have a group of 5+ people sometimes you have the entire thing surrounded you didn't have to worry about having smoke blown towards you, once you got comfy you were good for the rest of the night or till the log went out.
