Just traded into a Boney Active Duty with the red & black scales. Really like this little bugger. Finally a Busse that I can slice with, right out of the box. This may be sheath worthy. It was shipped to work and I immediately used packing tape to reinforce the factory sheath and dropped it in my pocket. It's a little long, so I got to thinking that I need an IWB rig for it and need to see if any of the GW's were this thin? Anyone know what the thinnest GW was?

The thinnest GW was 0.14 inches thick. Of the thirty-seven offered through BCS, the following had 0.14-inch blades: 1, 4 through 7, 9, and 12.

Oh, and congrats on getting a BAD! I have two of them (Red/Black G-10 and Black Canvas Micarta). Here are some shots showing the former:

I also really like the BADs. If I can pry one away from ze wife, I'm going to get some kydex for one and then I'll have 2 EDC Busses. I don't think I can manage to give up my Culti.

It is a great little knife. I usually don't like this thin of a blade, but it feels so solid in your hand. Definately a great edc cutter.

Ken, is either of those satin/tiger?
Nope. #1 was Snakeskin Canvas Micarta, and #4 was Green Linen Micarta. The Satin + Tiger Hide Canvas Micarta GW was 0.17 inches thick, and was the 11th BCS GW offering. Here it is:

I like the BAD's! The micarta version is very light

The red/black g-10's came with diff looking scales, I like the glossy looking one's

For the same piece chunk of handle material, G-10 is ever so slightly heavier than Micarta.

I have a black and black/red bad. I did not think I would like it so much but it's become my favorite edc. Its thin profile and rounded handle let it disappear into my belt. Great little blade.

Ken - I LOVE that piece you got up there man!!!

Lunde - you have more knives than Jerry Busse, i sometimes think ;) (great to see your pics man!)

how long is the little blade on the knife pictured up top? Looks like 2 inches or less!!!

I got these:D:thumbup:

Not sure if I like the BADs or the FN better though;)

Just glad to have both depending on the circumsta:D:thumbup:nces

Is G10 significantly heavier?

Depends on who you ask :D I will just say that there is a Noticeable difference.

Lunde probably has more Busses than anyone else I know in CA. Last I heard....he ONLY has something like 21 or so ASH1's :D

Either way, this knife isn't heavy by any means. I *just* got mine, very late to the party.. but i LOVE it !! it's been a fantasy day:
