I'm not sure this shouldn't have been in shoptalk move if needed.
This is how it goes on a sunday when bone delaminates laterally
It would have had great inner color however its far enough in that it will look wrong (besides losing way too much jigging) if I were to finish it .
sonofa@#$%&,! now it gets to get soaked overnite in acetone and I
get to start over.

Ken, I'm happy to leave it here if you'd like to share with the folks. I'm sure many of us jigged bone fans will find it interesting. If you want me to move it for you, just let me know. Nice lookin' despite the setback!

I can only imagine how frustrating that would be..
What causes that to happen ? Whoops.. Neeman types faster than I do

Neeman and everyone else this was one of my standard dye jobs after jigging
and there was a lateral crack in the bone, usually I'd notice this before fitting it
to the frame, especially with the light inner color. After fitting it and super glue
gel clamped up for a while, I shoot it with kicker then start to grind the bone
close from the liner side. Thats when the belt peeled off the chunk of bone you
see missing.

Ouch! But it coulda been worse - like happening in the mail on the way to a customer!!
It's gonna be a great knife, born in adversity! Makes 'em tough!!
