I picked one of these up recently to check it out. I was surprised by the fit and finish. Everything lines up and is flush with no visible machining marks. Upon opening of the box everything looked clean and it was almost perfectly centered. The action was good as far as tension but very gritty. Now that it's all cleaned up it's better but I think that the action could be improved with higher-quality washers. They are a white plastic but I don't believe there teflon or delrin etc. Also the internal stop pin is nice but it does rattle just a bit.

I'll post some more pictures with other knives if there's interest.

Hard to see in this pic but the residue at the bottom is all grit.

Also just realized I never took any pictures of the knife itself.

I'm just rolling up to say that I'm monitoring this thread to see if you've posted pictures of the knife itself yet...

:D

That knife looks an awful lot like the Emerson CQC-8. The handle shape, and handle screw holes. The rattling stop pin might be similar to what Emerson uses, a floating stop pin, so the wear is evenly distributed around the circumference of the pin rather than slamming the same spot over and over.

Just parachuting in to say that I'm staying away from this thread....

Was that post really necessary? Would we have missed the point you're making if you had just not "parachuted" in?

The Bad Blood knives seem to be a great value (in theory) for the price. May need to buy a few and test them out, see how they do.
