Hey all, I was looking for a new inexpensive small fixed blade to take into the woods and not worry if I lost it or beat it up, and ran across a newer line of knives- Bad Blood Knives. The knives are designed by Sean Kendrick who has some really nice stuff so I thought I would give one a try. I ordered the Partisan Nano model and it is really sweet! The blade comes in at just under 4 inches which is just what I was looking for.

This might be the one of the best values I have found for a knife. I paid $35 for this knife, and it has great fit and finish! Black textured G10 handles with red liners, a nice kydex sheath with a belt attachment, and 8Cr14 steel which is not bad given the price. After using the knife some, I really love it. The ergonomics are excellent and I have already contacted Mr. Kendrick to look into getting one in a nicer steel. I showed the knife to my father today who immediately handed me his credit card and had me order him one as well, which is shocking as he is pretty frugal and doesn't buy a lot of knives but just thought this would be a great knife to take deer hunting.

As I have never really heard anything about these knives, I was just kind of wondering if anyone else out there had tried them and wanted to see what others thought. Also, suggestions as to what steel would be a good choice should I order a custom model of this blade?

I have the fire spitter and spiraling demise. There both tanks. The fire spitter is 9.8 oz and is as nimble as a 3.0 oz knife. The only thing I would complain about is the finish is kinda weak as in it doesn't take much to scratch it or take the finish off. But that is nothing because these are tanks. So far he has made the best flipper in terms of size, thickness, ease of deployment...

Jstn, how would u rate the sheath that the fixed blades come in in terms o quality, ease of deployment, concealment.? sorry fore the long winded post, just wanted to know if the fix blade were as great as the folder.. Phil

I haven't handled any of the folders but now I may have to try one. I would say the sheath is pretty nice, especially for the price. It is secure enough to keep the knife securely in, but I can pull it out quickly and easily. It also comes with a piece that is screwed on so that it can attach to a belt. In terms of concealment, it is large enough that I don't think it would be easy to conceal unless you take off the belt attachment, in which case it could easily just slide into your pocket. Don't know if that helps much but hopefully it does. I have much more expensive fixed blades and this one measures up in terms of sheath quality, the only downside is the steel used.

Haha, my apologies! I don't think you will regret picking one of these up though, especially not for 40 bucks!

Jstn thanks for the reply. It does answer. I will be ordering a nano sooon... Keep you steel shap and your skills sharper. Phil OUT!

There's an article about the Bad Blood knives in the current edition of Tactical Knives magazine. The reviewer likes them and so do I.

Anyone know much about the 8Cr14 steel used? After some use it seems to hold a decent edge, better than I thought it would.

Looks a little generic to me. It seems like you could spend a few more $$$ and get something a little better.
