I always find it easier to get them wet before you bone them.

Letting somebody else bone your girlfriend's sheath? Tony's such a giver! Now I know how he gets all that INFI :p

i think i'll leave well enough alone and let tony do the conditioning, i don't know what kind of oil she likes.

Our Skunk has monster nads!!!!!!!

;)

Skunk,

That is my first leather sheath... I wanted someone softer than Tony to bone it the first time. I fear that he would have split it wide open.

Thanks:thumbup:

no problem deanne, i'll be your full time boner if needed. a big congrats on your busse, it's a nice one!!

use warm water (soak inside and out), stick you knife in to where it's supposed to be, use a very smooth object (antlers were/are used) like a smooth butter knife handle or smooth end of a sharpie marker, but smooth, and form the leather to the contours of the handle etc. let dry for a few minutes (maybe an hour) and remove the knife, follow the previous mold marks and mold again with the knife out, let air dry NOT WITH ARTIFICIAL HEAT, after bone dry use some nice leather conditioner on it recommended by leatherman.

ps: also do the backside of the sheath around the handle.

that is years of experience! Bravo TonyG! Bravo!

Don't think I could have said it better twer I in your shoes:thumbup:;)

and this has to make the slide. LMAO!!!!

Skunk - I have one on order right now from the store - perhaps you could bone it for me too :)

I mean you seem experienced at this, it does seem a bit of an art to do it right and I really do not have the time for mine .............I do have a fatty already and really want to get this to fit nice and tight - ;)

Perhaps you could even make a video of the process - "Wild Leather Nights" or "Deep Pouch" - or something like that- I am sure that others would enjoy watching this being done:D;)

This thread is great. Has me rolling.

This happens at times.

I think Skunk took too many blue pills before he went to celebrate his son's birthday last night so when he got up today he started boning sheaths.

He called me earlier today and said he felt "strong" enough this morning to do a few kydex :D
