Bad Lock-Up???

I recently picked up a ZT 0550, and I'm a bit concerned at the blade's locking position. It seems to be a bit too far over, but I'd like some other opinions on it. I'm debating on whether or not I should keep this blade or if I should exchange it. What do you think?

The knife appears to have a lock up right at 50%.
Which seems about normal for ZT's.
So, no it doesn't have bad lock up.
Even late lock up isn't bad lock up.
I'd keep it and use it until I couldn't anymore.

Document it then use it. If it fails send it back with the evidence that it was like this before you used it. I don't think it's a problem, but I'm no expert

If you are worried about it, you should be able to send it in to Kershaw for evaluation. Keep in mind that if it doesn't have any vertical play it is perfectly fine and the trip will be a waste. If it develops any play then send it right in. Kershaw will do you right.

I actually prefer later lockup. I don't like knives that barely lock up.

I agree. A new frame lock should lock up just about where yours does IMAO. I don't really trust early lockups. I've had 3 550s (two new ones, one used, from both generations) and all of them have locked up just abut where yours is.

That's a normal lockup. The early 0550's had that type of lockup, and Hinderer even commented on it, as there was some debate about the lock up when the 0550 was first released.
