There is such things as bad steels? I read that every steel have some characteristics that depends on how it was made and it's elements composition. So a hard steel would be hard to sharpen but would hold an edge longer, while a soft one would resharp easily but dull quickier.
So, what it means a cheap or bad steel? Is it really bad? And what are the characteristics of steel and their opposite (like, hard/soft)?
