In some ways, my recent Emerson buys have been chasing a knife. My in-case-of-deployment folder has been my 15 for some time. But spending all my teens and 20's in various martial arts makes me a huge fan of the Persian...there is not a folder that cuts or handles like it in my collection or opinion.
Enter...the Kwaiken and Tiger!
Something I like to do with my knives is get a large card board box and practice some left/right right/left slashes and thrusts to get a feel for how the knives cut.
I did about 20 minutes of cutting with them all and while the Persian remains king...the Kwaiken and Tiger were amazing. The Kwaiken is light and feels faster than the Tiger to me, but the Tiger just kept on impressing me with it's ability although I thought the Kwaiken cut a bit better.
What does my playtime tell me? If I have to go anywhere with the Guard...the Kwaiken is coming with me.
It's a big blade but a slim carry and scary fast in hand.
