A friend of mine works as a tactical officer that is,all he does is look for wanted guys and stakeouts. He dresses in jeans and tee's with a badge on a chain around his neck. This gave me an idea, why not hide a neck knife behind the badge?Any leo's ever heard of this or think it has any merit? The problem I see is having quick access while also hiding it.I mean the handle sticking way out might not be something you want.Maybe a flat unwrapped handle without holes and the word police painted verticaly on it would hide it in pain sight?

I don’t know if it’s the same type of rig that you have in mind, but I think T.O.P.S. already offers a badge holder/neck knife combo. Check out this page (towards the bottom)…
