BANG! I've been badged :D
Awesome!

Thanks Mrs S and thanks guys at ESEE and everyone here for making a great community! You guys lighten up my dark winter days.

Just so you know, Waffle House now accepts those cards for free refills on coffee.

lol that's great news Jeff,
minor detail... the closest Waffle House is just about 4000 miles away ;)

if I wasn't worried that my Izula would rust from all that salty water, i would swim the ocean to get that coffee :D
also badged today, and very happy

I thought I was the only one that got a personal note from Mrs S, I just figured she was sweet on me like all my other ex-wives, girlfriends were at one time.

Just send your emails. At this point David has the badges. Life has become overwhelming for me with school and my kids so he took the burden off of me. You send the emails to me and I just forward the emails to David.

Man if I was that far from a waffle house I'd go crazy , I stop there everymorninv on my way home from work

Maybe there is a Luftwaffle House close by.

Sorry. Just a joke.

Seriously, I live within 3 miles of 2 Waffle houses and have not eaten at one in a couple of years.

Can't you take a quick jump over the border into Belgium for a couple of waffles?

Yes sure, I'll bring a few belgian beers as well, but no free refills with my esee badge ;)

What?!?!?! Other people got personal notes too? And I thought I was special ... ;)

Congrats on your badge, fellow European :)

I think it was particularly big of these guys to send us our badges across the pond at no charge. Mine is now in use as a treasured bookmark, currently sandwiched between the pages of 'Atlas Shrugged'.

PS. I spent an interesting afternoon getting bombed with the locals in the seedy coffeeshop to the left of the 's-Hertogenbosch train station two years ago, when I was on my way to wild-camping in The Hoge Veluwe. Say hello from me if you ever find yourself in there ;)

I like the way you think. I've put a personal moratorium on the drinking of abbey ales ever since the great Giants vs. Packers 2007 NFC Championship game (that's football - the real kind, where you use your hands ;) ) when I couldn't get up from a sitting position the entire night due to drinking the stuff.

Wow, they let you guys read that over there?

lol... I've been there in the past when it was called the Pistache, now it's from the Grass company, a bit less relaxed atmosphere these days ;)
