Me and a couple of friends were out at the range shooting yesterday and after a couple of hundred rounds (they were way behind, they shoot slower;)) One of my friends asked, "Is that a butcher knife, your carrying?" I said "No, its one of these" pointing to the Busse name on my sweatshirt. I proceeded to throw it at three or 4 telephone poles laying against the bank among the snow, weeds, and barbed wire, sticking it the first time.

My friend said, "be careful, you'll break it" I just said, "not gonna happen" and threw it harder. The sight of it stuck in the telephone pole was very, very satisfying. The only problem is you have to watch the rebound if it don't stick, good thing my wife wasn't there, she still thinks I can't dance:D

Hey, be careful you could put an eye out with that thing ;):P

Glad you showed them it "wouldn't break"

:D:D

"Is that a butcher knife, your carrying?"

Man, I'll tell you what. I got a little sarcasm about my AFCK.

"What do you need that thing for?"

:barf:

I didn't say a thing about his pink fanny pack!

Nic,
Yeah, there's just no end to the stupid comments you get when carrying a knife!
One of my coworkers asked me something like "Are you going to kill someone with that?" when she saw my BM Mini TSEK the first time.
I looked at her and said very seriously. "No, that's way too messy! I either break peoples necks or strangle them with a piano wire! Much more clean and discrete!" First and last time she asked that question!:D

Yes, some people don't really understand the need to carry the implements of human destruction. And it is just impossible to explain to them the potential distress caused by a lost opportunity to stab or shoot someone who desperately deserves it.  :D

I don't think the average person see's a knife as a tool. A very fun tool.
