Badger Attack & RatManDu Comparison Needed Please

Hey fellows, I hope you don't mind me invading Infi-land, but I need some help. I have been watching the forums thinking about picking up a RatManDu(because I can't spend 24 hours a day on the Swap Rat website trying to catch them on sale) then I noticed today that I can buy a new Badger Attack from Busse for $227. Hell, that's only $40 more than the RatManDus sell for here on the forums and it's Infi to boot. However, the main reason I wanted a RatManDu was because I thought the size would be about perfect for what I am wanting to do with it(I actually use my knives), so what I am needing to know is how does the BA compare to the RatManDu in the size and design dept.? Do y'all think both of the blades are in the same size and use range? Is the BA way thicker? Any help or picture comparisons would help me greatly guys, as I am trying to figure this out before the BAs are gone from the website too.
 
They're not terribly far apart... But the Badger is definitely "beefier", while the Rat is a thinner, more slender blade.

I'd go with the badger (at todays prices) unless you were really concerned with keeping the weight light. either will serve you well.
 
Here's 2 pix that I just snapped... The blade thickness at the spine appears to be the same on the 'Du as on the BATAC. :)

I prefer the Ratmandu handle. I just don't like the Tac handle.

Neither knife is a chopper, for me lighter is better.

The main difference is the steel. SR-101 isn't as rust resistant as INFI, otherwise it's a fine steel.

If you aren't willing to do a little work, it will be hard to find a BATac for $227. The $292 mag G-10 handle BATac's seem to last in the BCS but I don't know how easy it will be to get a $227 BATac.

If you want a good deal and are willing to go a little bigger, I have an M6 to trade and I want to give someone a good deal.
 
I can get a Badger Attack at the company store right now for $227.

Have you tried?

The order page is broken and currently they only have $292 BATac's.

The knives page does say starting at $227, but they don't have any at that price right now.
 
Also, the BCS only gets what Busse sends them. You won't have the same choices that were available to order a few months ago on the main Busse Combat site.

On the plus side, the BCS ships out knives very quickly (some times same day) while it can take several months to get a knife that you order from the Busse Combat site.
 
I have them both and I prefer the RatManDu. I like the handle better and the overall feel of the knife. But that's just me. They are both fine knives.

Last time I see BCS opened Badger Attack was there for $297 (G10 magnum handle). But now it is:

"Sorry, the store is closed because our web host is broken. We do not think it will be fixed till monday at the earliest because these people won't work on weekends."

For last few days it was broken.
Can you drop us a link if you do have access to it right now?
