Badger Attack TAC

" 2 weeks...." Well,...... Someone had to say it. Do you suppose that any of Jerry's compatriots would reveal such info? After all, that would also indicate when the next knife (in sequence ?, anniversary SH1 ?, SFNO & AD ?, etc.) might become available. Jerry is known for liking to keep us in suspense.

My guess would be a late April or May.... Military orders go ahead of all other production "As they should in my opinion" and with the overruns that were just released I'd say that held up production on the badgers a bit.

Research on this thread would tend to support your view, Raden. BATAC delivery seems to have gone from late APR to mid MAY to ( on 09 MAR ) 10 - 12 weeks which would now put delivery from mid to late MAY. The only sure thing seems to be that once your CC is charged, delivery will take " up to 10 days " (AMY-O)

That is correct....

Sequence?? When did that start??

From Jerry's 'new production protocol', knives, once production has ceased, will not again be available for approx. 36 months. ASSUMING that the order of release is not changed, that would strongly imply that knives will be re-released in the same order or sequence that they were released in previously, about 3 years later than their last appearance.
But then, trickster Jerry is known to have a bit of fun at our expense so, perhaps the 'new production protocol' is a bit of a puzzle for us to peruse at our leisure. In the end, we'll just have to wait and see or to quote the character of MULDER; " How the hell should I know?". Pete

Any way of knowing how much longer the Badger Attack TAC will be available?

If you wait until the last minute to order you have waited to long.
You will not be billed until the shipping date is near, and Boss Hog will pull them when you least expect it.

Don't expect anything! AT ALL! I can practically guarantee the next time around a few knives will be dropped, and few new ones will be added!

Thanks, looks like I have some time to decide if I am ready to drop that much on a knife (though it looks like a beauty) plus a kydex sheath.

Yes, but not as much time as you might think. They'll have to: clean up after the 'old' run; reprogram the CNC mill(s); manufacture (which includes blank and mill for both blade and handle + grind for the blades); assemble; test; inspect and ship these babies. Someone, do not recall name for attribution, said that production doesn't start until the knife is pulled from the site. Depending on how short their turn-around time is, to hit a mid-MAY delivery, they may have to pull the BATAC from the site and start production as soon as mid-APR. Certainly no later than MAY 1st. (IMHO) Pete

They usually give a heads up here on the forum when the knife is about to be pulled so you can get your last minute orders in.
Also, guys will post when their credit cards gets dinged for the BATAC. So you will know when the end is aproaching that way also.
I can't wait for the BATACLE!! WOOOO!! :D

The BATAC is a lot of knife for the money, at only $227 IMHO.

This is exactly how I got my hands on my first FBM. I saw a post from the Queen of All Things INFI that they were being taken off the site in a few days, so I took the plunge. Glad I did. I haven't looked back since. I have three BATACs (two CG and one LE) on order and can't wait to see them.

For those of you who think that $227 is a lot of money for a knife of this caliber never fear. Busse knives are some hard-core blades. Anyone you choose will undoubtedly serve you a lifetime (check that warranty). And at some point if you decide to upgrade to another Busse, or downgrade to somebody else's stuff, you can resell it and get some cash, even if it's a user.

I say buy the BATAC and see how you like it. Sell it if you don't. Try to trade it for another model. But if you do like it, which you will, don't ever let your guard down, as you'll likely be tempted every few months with new models and your credit card bills will weigh the mailman down and bust through envelopes. And remember the HOG motto: "NO REGRETS".

Wow you must have a crystal ball or some inside information! Who are you Amy's second cousin or something??:D

Hey Bravado. The Bad Boy avatar does nothing for me. Go back to the previous one please.:D :D

AMY-O!!!!! I would just like to know a general time.. 2-10 weeks is great. However, with the wife having contractions about once an hour, I am betting we will be heading to the hospital for the arrival of a different sort! I just don't want to go to the hospital, and then find out that the the charges went through, and emptied one account! Just want to know if I need to transfer money around to cover my INFI spree, or am I good.... ?

Just W.A. to semi-educated guesses on my part. Done a bit of Man. Pro. incl. 'hands on'.
Gee, I was in such a hurry to get to work this morning that I forgot to mention Jerry's rather involved tempering process, as well as sharpening, cleaning, finishing, packaging. In all, quite a bit more than most are aware of, bravado.
"these babies...". As if they were mine. Wishful thinking in extremis. Pete
