Badger E 5/16 ??

I was looking over my two badgers trying to decide which one to keep and noticed that one felt quite different in the hand than the other one. Upon closer inspection I found that one is 1/4 and one is 5/16 thick!! Can anybody tell me how many of the 5/16 were made. I thought only the straight handled Busse's were offered this thick.

Nope, I've seen some fatty BAE's pop up now and again...sweet little pieces. I don't think there was ever an "official" offering rather just the usual +/- 1/4" that on occasion went way out (i.e. 5/16")


I would recommend keeping that one :)
 
Yeah, I recently held a sweet little proto cammo BA-E ;) that appeared to be .27" stock like my Fat SFNO. It is amazing how .02" can make a huge difference in the hand. I think DN is right about you having 1/4 +. Have you measured it? I could be wrong. It sounds like a nice grab in any case :cool: .

Still one of my favorite pieces. I'm looking at it right now...only about five feet from me :)
 
One of your favorites!? That is very cool and saying a lot from a distinguished HOG like yourself. That is a beauty and I am glad I got to check it out. I would imagine it would make a nice companion to all those Off Duty's you have laying around :) .
