Badger Sheath?

There's a ton of great sheathmakers around.

I like Leatherman's work alot. Very heavy duty, which is fitting for a Busse.

For Kydex, I like Oku's handle retention only sheaths. There also a very tough hard use sheath.

But as I said, there are many Great makers, I just haven't got to try many of them. I saw some of Chuddy Bears and Rainwalkers work at Blade and it was top notch.

Which Badger? E? SHBA? BA3? BATAC?

BA3 - Randall Pouch for sure. SHBA - stock Eagle Sheath. E-Series, ditto. BATAC - I've got a nice Leatherman snap sheath that I like.

Thanks guys.
I have the BATAC LE.
Does anyone have a Semper Paratus Nylon sheath?

I like Savage Made sheaths for leather - great prices and nice workmanship. For Kydex, I'm a Buy Brown fan all the way, although lately I just make my own kydex. They aren't as nice looking as David's, but I don't have to wait for them to be delivered :D

I currently prefer Mashed Cat Kydex. Great fit and well designed drain hole for my users.
For leather I really love Armoralleathers multi-carry in Kydex fusion. For the standard versions in leather I have had nothing but quality from Chuddy Bear as well. If on a budget, the Survival sheaths are great too.

kydex---buy brown, just got a used one that came with a vex i bought, man it is superb stuff, also the sheath very streamline and locks the knife without scratching!!!

leather---chuddy bear without hestitation--he is topnotch and very good people!!

Another vote for Chuddy Bear here. I have a nice Randall style for #27, and I think that he's in Punxsutawney PA. That's pretty close to where you are, isn't it?:)

The fact is that you can't really go wrong with any of the sheathmakers that hang out on this slice of the forum.

I'm a Leatherman junkie. Can't go wrong with Dwayne's stuff.

But for the BATAC LE, I went with a Spec-Ops Combat Master.

You are going to get some kydex scuffs if you go this route though.

I think it depends on what you mean by going to war.

Hunting, fishing, or general camping..........or actually going to war.

What environment? High desert? Rain forest? Makes a big different. Obviously you should decide what kind of abuse it will see. I love the look of leather, but the weather durability of Kydex. A while ago, I had my GW and SS in kydex and went swimming in the Spokane River with both still on the belt. No go with leather. Lots of rain, and constant wet, ditto. Not that leather won't deal with a bit of wet, but it becomes a concern.

Mashed cat is the only professionally made sheath I have any experience with, and they are great. I have another sheath made by some on on here that sells them, and it is cracked with not much use. I really like the look of Buy Brown too! I think it was leather man on a couple sheaths I held of another hog, and very impressive.

Chuddy Bear makes very very thick sheaths too.

Those are great sheaths, I have one just like that one and a black "Survival Sheath" And one other that was user modified and I cant tell what it was. For an incurable leather nut like me that's quite a testimonial.
