I got the Bark River the other day and I thought, after some discussion with another forumite, that I would post a bit of a badger retrospective with it thrown in for scale and for fun. I had not realized how big the BATACLE was until I sat it next to the ABALE and the others. It is huge, nearly too big to EDC except in winter weather. :D I will have to make some pants for it so I can tote it next winter, unless Jerry gets the SAR Squatch and Muks out beofre then.

Wow--evolution in action!! When was the third one down made?

According to Jerry at Blade last year, the third one down is a prototype Badger Attack, the original Badger Attacks as you can see in some of the images of the old ads that are floating around somewhere. Probably made in the early 90's.

Nice!!! ... Wow, the BATAC looks like it was fed steroids, when compared to the others... BTW nice SHBA'ish lookin' Badger!:thumbup:

Thanks, PG! That is just such a simple and classic design...I really like it!

I heard Congress will be investigating once they get done with MLB.

Hmmmm...now wait a sec! How much bigger is it than the BAergo? I'm thinking the handle may be a bit longer but I imagine the blades are pretty close. Especially the width.

:D I had 4 ABALEs at one time. Not anymore. None are for sale either, keep your nuts to yourself. :D

I used to have a few of the DABAs too, I miss those days. :( Still one of my favorite users.

I just remembered some of the satin finished custom shop ones with the clip point and the swedge. Crap I miss those too! :):(
