Hi, i love the look of these knives and hey seem well made but a bit thin for heavy work.

What do you guys think?? :D

The way I understand the Ontario Bagwell design is for knife fighting primarily. I've held a real custom Bagwell and its balance and speed was incredible. This is not to say that the Ontario model is bad. I've had one for a few years. Mike Sastre's "Southern Comfort" C.F. sheath with Mike's handle modification adds a nice touch also. :D

I have heard that the knives are very good but the handles feel "cheap". I have never held one so I cannot comment for personal experience.

The Ontario Bagwell bowies are strictly fighting bowies. They aren't intended for chopping firewood, etc.

Agree, when I got my "Gambler model",I was told it was designed for fighting. Not camping and such.Love my Gambler and Mike Sastre sheath, very sweet set-up.

Do any y'all know what sort of steel they are using?

QS-13 is sort of an enigma.

WYK
