Hey everyone. I have been doing a lot of one offs lately, mostly based on historical blades or military knives. On this one I wanted to do one of the most recognizable Bowies out there. I have seen quite a few takes on Bill Bagwells Hells belle. On mine, I wanted to keep the classic styling but update with modern materials.
For the blade I used CPM 3V with my high performance HT. The guard and spacer are 6al4v titanium and so is the peened pin. The blade is 11 1/8" long.
The handle is high density F50 carbon fiber in an Asymmetrical coffin shape.

This knife is extremely lively and well balanced right in front of the ricasso. It weighs only 15oz and has nice distal taper down to a needle point.

The sheath is a lean hand stitched package. It has some really nice elephant trim and is setup for sash carry.

It was certainly a fun and challenging project. I hope you guys like it.

Holy moly! What a knife! That is incredible. Just wow!
You've really been on fire lately.

Looks like you have created a beautiful take on one of the greatest bowie designs I have ever seen. The Hells Belle is an absolute grail knife for me and I don't think there is a bowie I have lusted for more than it.

Just one question. Isn't the stud on the sheath on the wrong side for a righthanded person to IWB carry as Bagwell intended? I thought he carried his blades edge facing forward and utilizing something he called a "coach draw" to bring the blade out in a normal forward grip despite this. I am not saying your sheath design is wrong, just wondering if your stud placement that way was intentional. Either way great job!!

According to Robin Brown the edge forward style of carry is known as the cav draw. He demonstrates this method in a you tube video Bagwell Bowie/Panther Concealment Carry System.

Knocked that out!!!! [emoji15][emoji106]

I wasn't sure how I was going to like this one as I followed the build on IG. But as with all your work it came together beautifully. Terrific piece.

The new blade styles you've been making recently, like this one and the trench knife, are nice and super cool.
