the HP is 2.5 inches shorter. I did some searching a long time ago and found there to be replacement blades......... $60 for 3 pack, and 3 pack was all that was sold. At $23 I'd rather just buy another saw. Don't remember where though.

Good luck to you.

Saw one for sale at 11 pounds. It almost makes sense to buy a new saw and throw the old one in the shop as backup.

Yes the replacement blades almost make me want to toss my orange Bahco's and buy more new, but that seems an environmental, if nothing else, waste. I was thinking on grabbing one of those long thin triangular files maybe and seeing if I can touch up the teeth. Mine aren't bad yet, but they are starting to require more effort in use.

Just put it somewhere as a backup or yard tool and buy a Silky.

Ah snap! :D I do love my silky.

That sucks that you can't get replacement blades. There has to be some vendor out there that sells them.

I sent for a blade from the Bahco store $12.75 total price delivered. My sons saw is the Laplander mines a Kershaw with the XT7 blade.I tried the blade from mine in his saw it fit perfectly same length. We use the saws for hunting I wanted to have a spare blade.Should get it on monday.I wasn't going to post until I had it Didn't want to dispute any of the facts given in other posts.
