Bahco tomahawk customized

Very nice! You may also find it a nice touch to remove the forging die seam along the bit/eye collar transition zone using a chainsaw file. Improves the comfort a little when choking up under the head. The factory handle looks the same as the poly-jacketed fiberglass handles that Rinaldi uses, just a different color scheme. That particular hatchet pattern is French, but a lot of Italian manufacturers produce for the French market. Not sure who's making the heads, but I bet it could be figured out without too much digging. Should be a nice tool.

Whoa!!!! I didn't even know this existed! I just did a search for the Bahco tomahawk and cant find it available in USA. Am I just missing it?

I saw a reference to these back as early 2010. It's hard to believe they did not make it to the USA, at least when the hawk craze went full force.

Too bad they haven't made it to the US as they'd probably cost less than cold steel.
Maybe harbor freight should market some cheap hawks like this. Their stuff is normally junk, but I had good luck with my hatchet and for 10$ they'd be the perfect beginner hawk and a modders dream.

well, looks cast so i'd imagine the soft steel issue with the other hatchet they made doesnt apply. i think i need one now

Not cast--definitely forged. What you're seeing is flash from the dies.

If I had to guess, I'd figure that Prandi is making them. They produce a French hatchet of identical pattern and size, and the look of the tooling marks is the same.
