Bail out bags

I couldn't help myself. I got a OD XL-BOB.

Doin' my part to stimulate the economy. :D

I got the OD too.
I have a week long school to go to at the end of the month,so I really did need it.;)

Maratac took the existing design and made it larger to allow it to fit notebooks, clipboards and posse boxes.

Hmm. Isn't that last thing like saying the same thing twice. Like DOS Operating System or ATM Machine. . . oh wait - POSSE. Nevermind.

Looks interesting. There's a guy on Ebay that takes the Claymore pouches off of surplus .gov backpack, sews two of them together, adds a handle and makes a pretty cool camo bail-out-bag. Strangely, mine is currently in use as a diaper bag for my son. Hey, it's CAMO! He's a boy!

How sturdy is the material they use on these?
I currently use and old Eddie Bauer computer bag that's 15 years old and hasn't ripped yet. I carry about 15-20 pounds of equipment in it daily. It lacks the exterior pockets the County Comm bag has.

From what I hear, the CountyCOMM bags are brutally tough. Although I wouldn't know since I can't order as they won't ship USPS. :(

I carried the regular BOb for walks in the oods. Very handy to get to binocs, SAK, snacks, and bottled water from the ouside pockets, lunch and maybe a sweater inside.

Now I've got the XLBOB. I carry it practically everywhere. Actually carry less in it, just what I need for the day, but I also have a great bag for shopping, too. I can get 2 or 3 grocery bags in it. And I found that slung across my back, it's very comfortable, it doesn't shift around.

Depending on where you're traveling, check out the IS-100 "72 Hour Bag" it's like the supersized version of the XLBOB with more organizer pockets and panels than you'd believe. I had mine a couple of months and found 2 more pockets I hadn't known were there. Their Responder Pouch/Bag fits perfectly in one of the 2 front pockets.

Call in your order,I know they used to ship USPS if asked.
BTW the older BOB I have is tough as nails.

Thanks for the heads-up! I grabbed one. Bigger than my other one but I guess there's never enough available space when you need it! :D
