Look what the UPS man brought the other day. Blade steel is 420V, thinly flat ground and hand rubbed to probably 800 or better. Pointy enough to replace my truck keys as the official ear cleaner outer. :) Overall length is 7.5" with a cutting edge of 3.25". Beautiful pearl on a full tapered tang with stainless bolsters and pins. Check out the engraving on the bolsters! Not sure if you can make it out, but the pins are engraved also. Unbelievable!

Stunning!. I am not the biggest fan of MOP, but this knife looks great. Sometimes it is just the right material to use for the handle.

It's a fixed blade...danbo said it has a tapered tang. Haven't seen too many folders with tapered tangs...at least not intentionally:D

Yummy!

That is a gorgeous little knife. I assumed it was a fixed blade because of the blade length, there is not enough handle for it to be a folder. I could see carrying that one to work as a letter opener and fruit knife. Enjoy!

Did Bailey also do the engraving?

Hmm. Danbo show pic. Me want.

Oh yeah.... that is a beauty. Clean, simple, elegant lines, tastefully done engraving, pointy and flat ground of 420V. Outstanding knife.

Thanks for sharing the pic which now goes to my hard drive...

I've said this before, but Danbo's taste in knives seems to parallel mine almost exactly. I don't think I've ever seen him post a picture of a knife that didn't leave me drooling.

A beautiful blade, and gorgeous MOP scales.

Yes, Bailey did everything on this knife. He went to some expensive engraving school and came back with super engraving skills. Presently, this knife does not have a sheath, but I'm thinking of a dangler style out of stingray skin. ???

Edited due to my lack of spelling skills!

danger style sheath? I assume you mean dangler (scandanavian) style. I think I would prefer a boot style sheath for that knife. Ray skin sounds good. But some sort of exotic reptile skin would also be very attractive. Plain ol sheath leather will not be elegent enough for that knife.

I am very impressed with Bailey's engraving. Can you display a close up of the bolster?

I hadn't seen that one Neil... I love that style with the deep relief and gold. Thanks.
