Hey guys,

I just found out that the East Texas News did an interview with Bailey Bradshaw which aired locally this past Friday and Saturday. You can see the video of the interview on the web site: www.kltv.com

Under the heading "Featured Videos" click on the link entitled "From Steel to Art". Nice little piece - and we get to see Bailey waving around that awesome integral damascus bowie that he took to Blade. It's refreshing to see custom knives portrayed in such a positive light.

Cheers,

Roger

That was a GREAT 'trailer'. When's the movie??! Thanks for the post. (The first time I clicked that link there was no 'featured video's' section. Then later there was. Go figure.)

Congrats Bailey!

From respected bladesmith to TV star in the flash of a lens!

Nice work Mr. Bradshaw!

I do believe that seals it, gotta make it to Austin this August.

I tried to save it and couldn't. Perhaps someone more computer-savy succeeded?

These news items have a regrettably short life span. Here's a link to the related article:

And here's an interesting little quote:

"He’s made a special knife for the cutting competition with a Micarta handle and a 10-inch blade of CPM 3V steel. The steel is one of the Powder Metallurgy steels from Crucible. Bradshaw describes it as being “essentially a third-generation D2.”
He said he used it because it is tough enough that the edge can be ground very thin and still stand up to hard use.
Bradshaw has been practicing chopping 2-by-4s with the knife. That is one of several events in the cutting competition.
"

Oh Bailey... I think we should have a chat about what you do with that bowie once you're done competing with it. ;)
