BAKCA gives out lots of awards. Hopefully I have remembered correctly the winner and the award. Not always are the knives matching to the winning knife. Often the knife was sold. We will intersperse some award winners with their knives as we proceed but first,

When I first had a chance to speak with Paul Basch, he told me that he had just made a major acquisition and was now showing it at the second show in 2 weeks having just been at Blade West.
For ardent knife collectors, this almost mint Scagel hunter with sheath was a delight to see
Originally, the knife had been offered at $30K but AG Russell has decided that it really belongs in the Russell collection.
the reverse side shows a bit more wear
all in all a wonderful experience to see, handle and photograph a knife by knifemakings "pioneer".

nice ivory on that knife too and I'm still not sure how it did not come home with me
