If you recall I mentioned that GW Hawk do some very inovative things as we saw with their folders. Well, check out this neat belt/necker. It has a fold away wrist thong, removeable sheath for neck knife. One very slick little package--and in colored sheaths etc also

and note the attached sharpening stone. This was a kewl package and almost came home with me. Too bad I like so many knives.

Now for a fantasy push dagger

And that is the BAKCA show for 2002. Next year it will be earlier, mid August at the same location so check the BAKCA site and also make use of their data base which should have a lot of updates in the new year.

The two knives I purchased from the show will soon be up in Display so I hope you take a look.

Thanks for the BAKCA review too Murray. I know a lot of us appreciate it.

Holy smokes - that's what I call a comprehensive report! Thanks for taking the time Murray - it is much appreciated.

Now I'm going to be having dreams about that Slobodian damascus bowie - it's stunning! If you have a larger image of that one please e-mail it to me.

Cheers,

Roger

Murray,

Your coverage of the BAKCA show is the greatest review/pictorial that I've seen in years !

Greatly appreciate your time and effort !

You ROCK ! :D

A great review of the show Murray. Your photographs of people and knives are excellent as usual.

Murray, you ROCK!!! :) Pics and stories! Great pics and great stories!

I enjoyed every post. Thanks again!

wish I'd have known some of you guys were around. not sure when I'll get back there but if you see someone with a yellow CKCC hat on and often doing photos, say hi.

Thank you very much for the great photo's and info.

Just one question ...How did you keep track of what each pic was and it's info?

Shappa--well, as you know or may have read, I did miss the Bob Lum photo. It was a friend of Tom Mayo as he pointed out.

Most of the other info re awards I think I have right but could be off on one or more but no one has said so, so I must have been ok or at least close enough.

RE the individual knives, what I do is to put a business card with each knife in the first shot and then do a second that is used in the pix story.

I do know quite a few people having collected and attended shows for 22 years.

We were on a 6 week trip this time and I'm still working on images but we do keep a trip report which I will soon type up and with that we have images and also a full financial accounting of the trip.

Then when I do the images, I also put basic info in the file name and that helps me know what image is what.

glad you all liked the show reports. I still have a couple of knives to post to Gallery but am trying to finish our trip images first.
