Hello all
I am a newbie here and a collector of many different things. Knives I have very few of, but there’s always been this one thats confused me. It was my dad‘s given to me almost 55 years ago. The dating is no problem. The challenge… is the blade is 4 1/2 inches long, It’s styled as an L 66. It has a bakelite butt/Pomel. Stacked Leather. Is it one of a kind?
Respectfully
Larry

And no idea how to post pictures!

Two ways to post pictures:
1) A "BASIC" or higher membership lets you imbed images into the message using a button in the lower left corner of the message box.
A basic membership costs $10/year.

2) Use one of the free photo hosting sites.
Don't use PHOTOBUCKET!!! They claim © to use! They put their logo (in a large font) across all photos shared, in a way that covers the the main subject.
IMGUR is a popular hosting site here.

I am pretty sure the Bakelite pommel is war period production. That does not mean it was a military issue knife.

I have a mark I Navy with a walnut pommel and one with a plastic pommel. It may have been a WWII prioritization of metal uses thing.
