Baker Forge damascus w/ copper/bronze - how does it wear with time?

Curious on any experiences with how the copper/bronze wears w/ time? does flitz clean the copper/bronze back up after a patina gets on it?

I've got a few CuMai (hi carbon core with SS cladding with copper) kitchen knives that have been in use for perhaps a yr or so and the copper still looks bright. We tend to clean a knife from time to time with a scotchbright type pad which will polish the copper back bright if it starts to patina.

I've not yet made any with Damascus cladding like you show, but I assume it should work the same.

Maybe salt and vinegar would work like it does on copper bottom pans?

With the only exception of having to worry about losing the contract from the Damascus with aggressive scrubbing
