Here is my current collection of Barry Wood & Mike Irie folders. IMHO, the most unique and strongest folders that were ever made.

can you flip them like balisongs ? i had to ask :D

Rumor has it... if you find one with a really weak spring, grind down the small pin that's on the inside of the handle plates, and you're a whole lot more coordinated than I am, you can flip it open and closed like a butterfly knife... I've never done that.
 
very cool. are you supposed to open them one-handedly ? i've never handled one before and this design really intrigues me.

I don't think they were made to but if you've got really good finger dexterity, wwith a lot of practice you can.
 
I've always liked that mechanism too! AWESOME collection.

Recently at a show, I saw a REALLY nice damascus model B. The seller probably didn't really want to sell it, as the price was FAR more than what seemed appropriate.
