Balance VS Cricket

We have two little big knives clashing together at roughly the same price point. Same steel, same company, same handle material (ss). Which one gets the edge and why?

Which one do you carry?

Own both but don't carry either, as they're both wrong handed for me. However, I'd vote for the Balance, hands down. The Cricket just never felt right in my hand. It's probably the least ergonomic of Sal's designs. Balance, on the other hand feels totally secure despite its small size. It also retains, and in some ways surpasses, the esthetic symmetry of the Cricket. It's also a lot easier to operate left handed and, finally, a whole lot easier to sharpen.

don't have a balance, but the cricket is a great little knife for $50ish dollars. Personally I like the design (especially the thin width), but to each his own.

The designs are both pretty neat i think, but they are a little too pricey for what you get. The cricket appears to be more heavy duty bc of the blade but you def have more control with the balance. I just dont understand how they cost as much as the ss d4, more than the d4 and hell even the e4. surely they use just a little sliver of vg-10

I have the CF Balance...and never really liked the looks of the Cricket...so based on that I'll go with the Balance..

I carry a Cricket a good bit in urban settings. The serrated version cuts far above it's size and I really like the ergonomics. I was given a Balance but found it difficult get used to. Seems a bit heavy for the blade size IMHO.

The Cricket is one of my favorite knives. It's not a classic EDC, but I've used it a lot at home for fine-point work.

I've had a se Cricket for a little over a year and it has easily handled anything I have thrown at it. I have a lanyard on it and it feels great in my hand. I just got a cf Balance and have used it a few times...so time will tell on it, but it doesn't seem to have near the cutting capability of the Cricket

I like the look of cricket and I carried it for one day and this was enough to get disappointing with ergos and cutting abilities. I never owned balance, but was able to handle my friend's: nice ergos. Still debating on to buy or not.
