Hi,
I am looking to build my first 2x72 grinder. I am planning on using the Reeder chassis and have found a motor locally for a good price. The motor is a 2hp Baldor, I am wondering if any of you can confirm if this motor will fit, the frame says "56/56H" and it has both a foot and front screw holes, here are a couple pics:

Here is the Baldor spec page.

The motor is brand new, but almost 20 years old. As it is only a 1725RPM, I am planning on paring it with an Ameribrade 7" drive wheel and a KBAC 27D, to get the most out of it. Do you guys think this would be a good match for the Reeder chassis? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Looks to me like you will have one nice grinder. The only thing I would caution is to double check the shaft diameter on the Baldor motor and make sure it is actually 5/8.

With the KBAC 27D you can double speed the motor. This would get you a fairly high SFM with the 4 inch drive wheel the Reeder comes with, if you wanted to save some money.

That's perfect. It's technically a 56 HC. H indicates it's footed and C indicates it's got a C face mounting plate. 56 frame motors are standardized by the industry and will have the 5/8" shaft. I think you are correct with the 7" wheel. I have a 6" wheel on my TW90 and would like a little more speed.
