G'day,

In the recent Ganzaa I was fortunate enough to score one of the CG FBM's in aged bronze... I was stoked!

Anyhow, being a decent sized hunk of steel I reckon I'll go for the baldric style of carry. I have an Armorall Leather set of dungarees for my Rat Daddy and really like it.

Just asking if people with baldric rig would mind posting a picture please of the rigs they have and if anyone could recommend other makers that may or may not have decent websites.

Nor would I be adverse to behind the back carry.

Thanks in advance!

I'm glad you like that Rat Daddy sheath! :) I remember doing a bunch of those back in the day, really regret not snagging a RD of my own.

I just finished off a couple of dedicated baldric rigs, they do seem like the ideal carry for hiking and easy removal. Also, my new skiving techniques make for a much thinner and sleek sheath, I've been calling it the wedge technique. :D

Sorry, no pics. I have a baldric rig with a nylon strap and a Kydex sheath that steelnut made for a Waki. And a leather baldric with an adapter plate for most any sheath, the rig was made by Sharpshooter Sheath Systems and sold by Knives Ship Free some years ago.

A baldric is a great way to carry a larger blade. there are tutorials out there on making your own with paracord.

I know a guy in Au who's gonna have some time and leather to work with in a few weeks... ;)

Congrats on your score! You will definitely have a blast with the FBM

The set up I have reeks quality! Are the newer ones you've done the same as you've done in the past?

David I did see this tutorial and it's a very good one. Leaning towards leather for the shoulder part of the deal at this stage though that would get me out of trouble for sure!

Aside from improvements in construction and design, yep! I'm always looking for better techniques and materials. :)

Hey guys, could someone please post up this pic for me, my browser is not supported right now. It's a Baldric rig I had SBranson make a couple years ago for a triplet of Desert Dogfathers, two of which I gifted to my two brothers, awesome rig complete with frogs for belt carry too.
