Well guys, here she is. Ugly as usual, but all that is left to do is heat treat, grind, and make her pretty. But I thought I would give you all an update.

She has a 3/16 thick O1 blade, "zen pins", stainles steel channel construction handles with Gabon Ebony inserts, and no latch.

Right now she weighs in at 8 ounces but that will drop after the bevels are ground in and the handles are contoured. She has a 4 inch blade from tip to pin pocket. 9 & 3/16 open and she is 5.25 closed. Phosphor bronze washers and the pivot pins ride in broze bushings.

This is the one I am planning on using as my pass around Bali. I am also working on some skeletonized stainless steel sandwhich construction bali's.

Let me know what you think. Sorry for the crappy pics.

Looks cool so far buddy. I've been thinking about making one of those myself. One of the first knives I ever carried was an old butterfly...still got it too. Very nice.

Lookin good Sean. I admire you guys that make folders. Maybe some day I'll try it.

I like the way you built the handles Sean, machining stuff is handy! That should be very sturdy. I'm looking forward to seeing this baby finished.
