Just got this custom balisong in, tang stamp reads:

Pagu Knife
USA
Portland Oregon

with either a devil head or steer head in the middle. The tang stamp could possibly read "Pasu Knife".

Any help with identifying this knife would be appreciated (Help Gollnick!!

I'll bet your tang stamp reads Pabu Knives.

Yes, one of my favorite custom shops right here in Portland, Oregon. Normally, swords and daggers are more their thing. Balisongs typically start at about $500 and they don't take orders from just anyone.

The blade in your knife was probably made out of a file and may still show a bit of the file teeth. The handles are milled brass with some sort of wood insert.

Look inside the opposite handle and you'll see that it's lined with leather since there is no kick on the blade.

These knives are exceptionally well made and rare. You've got a prize there.

Chuck, thanks for the info (how does he know this stuff)! No leather on this one; got plenty of leather around though.
