Bali Lube?

My Jag sqeaks like a barn door, and it starting to slow. I've repinned it, which may be part of the problem, but I'd like to lube up the pivot pins. My question is, with what. WD40 attracts and holds dust, and bike lube would make the whole thing to slick to hold onto. I was considering graphite powder, but i wasn't sure if it would act as an abrassive on the zamak handles. Any ideas out there in bali land?

try a little bit of 'dry slide' - available from better gun shops. Goes on wet - drys and doesn't attract gunk.

I prefer Tuf-Glide on my common folders and thicker lubes (i.e., grease or White Lightning) on my balis. I used an all-purpose Teflon bike grease on one and WL on another. Both are running slick months later with light use.

At Benchmade's request, I've been experimenting with a product called Militec-1, http://www.militec-1.com
and I'm quite pleased with it. It doesn't seem to gum up like everything else does.

Anyone want to buy half a bottle of Tetragun?

Ive been using Yomega BrainLube since i first got my bali. It works very well, goes on clean and doesent dribble out after a few flips.

In a story i heard that "deep-thrust lube" was supposed to be real good...but somehow i don't think that it was related to knives...my mind seems to be slipping here.

But it was a good story

Chucks right...... Militec-1 is the stuff!

I was using Tuff Glide before, and still had to apply it every day.

This Militec stuff just keeps on working. I've only put it on my 42 once so far, the day I got it (two weeks ago) and I haven't had to put anymore on yet.

I even put it on my Jags when I got home from Oregon, and they haven't needed anything since. That was what, 3 weeks ago??

They have what they call a "Sniper Kit" for $20 at their site right now. It includes:

~ One 4 oz. bottle
~ One 1/4 oz. bottle
~ One applicator tip

........ a great deal! Just be sure to follow the directions exactly as they say.

Is this the new stuff BM is recommending, or is that why you both are testing it out? After i pay off the 42 and the new sheath from Matt, I guess i'll head over and pick up a sniper kit. Susan should like it, being named after her and all...

Two Words:

White Lightning

It is a wax based lube. Good Stuff. Been using it for a while on my bikes and folders. They have a new formula for knives: www.whtlight.com
