Bali sighting on the tube

While watching episode #3 of "24", I caught a glimpse of a balisong. About 40 minutes into the show, a guy picked up an already open balisong. He didn't do any manipulations with it, just pointed it at two girls who were hiding from their kidnappers. The knife looked like the Dragon Forge 200 Series. Check your local TV listings, I think they're showing that episode again tonight, if you're interested.

This program is going to have a lot of knife content. I know from insider sources that Microtech, among others, has provided quite an assortment of props for this show including several specially-rigged "trick" Halos.

Rich from Knifemart supplied the modified MT's to the show. He did a Halo III without a lockpin, so that the blade would retract back into the handle.

That's bloody cool, as long as the knife use isn't limited to bad guys...Time for me to do a search and find out what the heck this show is about, I don't watch too much TV...

I'm glad to hear that i'm not the only one who caught that.
I'm always looking to see if the knife is a bali anytime I see a knife drawn in a movie or TV show.

There was a pretty funny balisong scene on "Titus" the other night also. Kind of good to see bali's in a light hearted manner from time to time and not just as "evil".

Hollywood contacted me to supply a MaierBlades Custom for the show and I said "Get in line. I'm not pushing you in front of my friends here at the Balisong Forum". They couldn't wait and had to go with the stock Jaguar. :D

Just remembered another balified movie that is on the boob tube quite a bit. I think it is called "falling down" and it features Dustin Hoffman as a whitecollar psycho business man who has a breakdown and goes on a violence spree. There is a bit of crappy balisong action with a china cheapie, so add that to your files.

I saw what looked to be a UDT on episode #2. He used it to cut some guys thumb off.

I noticed it too, but I couldn't tell what model it was. Looks like we're going to have to get in touch with the director and tell him to give us a better look at the knives that are being used.:D

bah. just what we need. more bad guys with balis. unless the cutter is a good guy, and the whole thing was an accident. ;)
anyway, it sure it nice to see that balisongs are starting to see they day's light. perhaps this is because of all the new balis? anyway, i like it! :D

He (Keifer Sutherland) used the auto, to cut it off, so they could run the fingerprints through their database and look for a match.
