Are balisong sold (authorized) in Illinois ?

I'm just back from NYC, I went to some Martial Arts Supplies stores and have been very surprised to see that they were selling many many weapons, being large blades or small vicious weapons, and not balisong. Prohibited. So strange... We should dress a list of the States were balisong are prohibited/authorized (or maybe it already exists ?).

I'm from Illinois, in the Chicago suburbs. Balisongs are not illegal here. It depends on local city or county laws. If one is found in your posession, it's up to the officer's discretion, if it gets confiscated. You can find balisongs in gun shops , some sporting goods stores, or pawn shops.

just for the note yo ucan find balisongs iN pittsburgh KNife shops as well as in San Francisco.

and OFCOURSE in Chinatown USa, don't matter where cause they are in a jurisdiction (read: parallell dimention) of their own =1.

I went to a martial arts store in Chinatown here, and I was told that balisong knives were illegal to sell, although you could own one.

When I checked Waikiki, where the guy in my BS troop gets his Rostfreis(my friend said he saw some switchblades too), I couldn't find one(although I bargained for a mini-kubotan knife).

I got mine at a liquor store, after persuading($) some druggie to purchase it.
